Blog Roll

A second language 'ain't' the problem.

The “dumbing” of America, our role in the decline of the west is not an orphan.

Take to task the academics that decried the classics.

Look with contempt at the originators that could only recycle the work of others in television and film.

Recoil at the secularists that assailed the temples in order to promote the self.

Call the role, call the role, ... Ad nauseam.

The vulgarity of the social levelers has mined us a pit lower than the Diggers of old might have found attractive and foursquare.

When the Ad hominem passes for wit and the conventional celebrates the crass and the marginal, while excluding those in contravention of them, the fault is not with the stars but with the universe that labels itself contemporary.

We are not done.

There is redemption.

Americans are at war at home with a cultural undertow that threatens to inhale all that is not dervish. This conflict would devour all that has greater meaning than the 'cult of me' along with a forced march rejection of historical development and Judeo Christian and

Western form.

Before destruction there will be denouement and the outcome is far from told.

"Now understand this."

Sen. Obama doesn't 'talk down.' He can scarcely speak up.

Anyone paying attention to his lack of sophistication that evidences when he speaks without the prepared remark on the dais?

His hesitant, stammering 'audacity' should disabuse anyone from the notion that this Senator has a lightness of step and sure intellectual hand.  He's scared.

He has all the symptoms of a fellow in beyond his confidence level. He's got the 2nd stringer to him. The man that would be comfortable in a classroom where he could be prepared when he spoke and could invoke cloture if any rapacious student sought to take his mojo away.

Sen. Obama wouldn't talk down to anyone. It's not within his capacity.

Let's make it personal for President Amadinijad

The U.S. should start sending something other than David Duke into Amadinijad's consciousness.

Specifically, before any one does a sit-down with Amadinijad over Iraq or nukes, or a new sit-down over Afghanistan, we need to publicly announce the suspension of Executive Order 12333.

Order 12333, drafted in the mid-1970s generally is interpreted to preclude the assassination of foreign leaders,

Now Congress can override 12333 and should but if recent Republican Congresses couldn't get it done, it's not likely that the incoming one will.

Perhaps, the President will step-up and send the signal, Ab initio, that the war on terror is real and Iran and Amadinijad should fear the consequence of telling us and our allies that they intend to kill us.

Even if we never attempt it, the signal change from the current Green Light for Amadinijad to Red Light, perilous crossing ahead, will serve to start the meter that presages the toll.   For Amadinijad, the meter tolls for thee.

Time for a signal change.

Lord of the Dance

With Sen. Obama, I feel the Tarantella.

You know, the dance staged in a circle. Turning quickly in one direction till the music changes causing the circle to whirl in the opposing direction.

Quite heady. Till the whirl and swirl becomes willful swill.

Coral Browne is reputed to have told Guy Burgess "you pissed in our soup and we drank it." Is this election leading the voter to drink the soup of one who appears as cagey as a many faced tinker or tailor?

It's not who they become upon power with its rarefied air. It's who they are when the soup is boiling and the crowd is dancing.

Beware the herd and St. Vitus.

The Baader-Meinhof Solution? or just

  a Phyrric Victory.

Andreas Baader and Ulrike Meinhoff proffered a theory for withering the State that had the Hegelian-Marxist Dialectic as roadmap.

Baader-Meinhof’s hope was to cause such chaos in the body politic using their homicidal lawlessness that the State would crack down with such oppression that the polity would reject the authoritarian yoke and in the end the State would shatter and a new contract would replace the rotting corpse ...
Thesis, Antithesis, Synthesis.

Substitute Obamacons with Baader-Meinhoff, the Republican governing classes for the State and you get the drift. Some Radical Conservatives would slaughter the society by unleashing Sen. Obama on the whole so that the reaction to his unsustainable presence would be a rebirth of a proper and orthodox Republican Party next time out. These ‘Conservatives’ would intentionally create electoral disorder and radical change as a road to the recapture of the party and power.

Fascinating theory that fails to assess the scar tissue and potential for national cataclysm that would attend Sen.Obama becoming the Chief Executive.

The amnesty and immigration wound that doesn’t seem to cauterize is giving rise to pure insanity among some Conservatives.
Let’s remember that we want the American Hispanic vote. If we do the dance card appropriately, the American Hispanic community will be the first ones to demand immigration restrictions that are sensible.
Think about it, very few solid Hispanics want to share America with those that are economic refugees. They don’t need to. We however need them and they are natural Republicans with their faith and strong national security profiles.

Pyrrhic victory?
